Waste Management
This year's competition...
With an ever-growing global population, it is imperative that we address the issue of waste management. Each year, humans produce over 2 billion metric tons of municipal solid waste, which is only one type of waste impacting the health and safety of our world. Waste is generated in various ways and exists from below the water to above the atmosphere. What types of waste will you consider while you are designing this year’s NEST EGG? We challenge you to create novel solutions to the pressing issue of waste management.

Challenge yourself to define how your team could address this topic and come up with a solution to do so. No idea is too small or big, but remember, you are challenged to come up with something that you can make and that you can prototype. As Tau Bates we want to create the next generation of great ideas that can be made possible. Think critically and have fun solving your special topic!
Ready to Start? Here's what you'll need.
Chapters that want to compete will need to complete a short project proposal and submit to the NEST team to let us know that you're in. Once we get the proposal your chapter will be paired with a NEST Coordinator. They can help you with everything you'll need to know to compete and get you all the resources at NEST's disposal.
